Annette Myers | Owner/Founder

Our Story

Annette Myers established Trendsetters Salon in 1987. She is the daughter of a German immigrant and a third generation business owner. Growing up around business, she knew how expensive start-up costs could be. So she opened Clarksville’s first booth rental salon, starting a trend that would set the bar for independent hair stylists in our community for years to come. In 2020, Trendsetters added Salon Suites to the business, giving space for even more independent and determined practitioners to run their own unique businesses under the Trendsetters roof.

Hair is our specialty.

Trendsetters attracts specialists who want to excel and grow, both as professional hair stylists and as business owners. Each of our independent technicians have the freedom to practice their speciality and give their clients everything they want, from product lines to the hours they work. That freedom is what makes each of our stylists a trendsetter!

Love is our motto.

Along with being known for delivering excellent hair services, Trendsetters is also known for our heart for the community, our relaxing atmosphere, and our top-notch customer service. We’re passionate about exceeding expectations. Come by and see us sometime! We’re here to serve you!

Shear Love

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share…    1 Timothy 6:18

Trendsetters founded Shear Love in 2002. Locally, we have sponsored underprivileged children in athletic camps and Cold Stream Christian Camp. We have also supported our armed forces by hosting military tea functions, fashion shows, as well as participating in Belk’s Bridal Show and Casual Corner’s Fashion Show. As often as possible, Shear Love aids in clothing collections and food drives. We have also enjoyed donating goods or services to SafeHouse for women, Hope Pregnancy Center, and The Old Firehouse Day Shelter for homeless families. We’ve helped with First Church of the Nazarene’s annual Warm Souls event and hosted a cut-a-thon for lupus research. We’ve done hair for several years for the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine special needs prom. Many of our stylists have donated their talents cutting hair abroad on trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, Russia, Nicaragua, and beyond.

At Trendsetters, we love to give back. We feel blessed to lend our hands to our local community and are committed to outreach. As Trendsetters and Shear Love expand and flourish, we are eager to spread blessings across the nations. We’re convinced that the gifts we have been given are ours to make our clients, our community, and our world more beautiful.
